Autumn Sonnet

Autumn air so crisp and energizing

Laying under the foggy harvest moon

T'was a Phoenix that came back to living

For it was cooler than it was in June

Leaves danced in the breeze with such elegance

Pumpkin spiced frappes-pies, people will buy

Cloves and cinnamon, all so sensuous

Scart movies and cuddles till I die

Gangly grass grieves and pumpkin patches grow

Reading novels by a cracking fire

Give thanks for there may be no tomorrow

When it is gone it doesn't leave a trace

All four seasons are very contrasting

Oh how I wish this was everlasting
