Autumn into Winter

The Autumn is Winters herald

her banners red and gold

The Autumn is a dancer

She holds secrets deep,untold

The Autumn is a dreamer

She dreams of windswept days

The Autumn is a mourner

wrapped in mist and haze

The Autumn is a maiden

dressed in ochre hues

The Autumn is a gatherer

of dreams and poems and news

When Autumn meets with Winter

her leaves will turn tomdust

Into the earth they dissappear

their golden fire lost

When gentle snow covers the world

and diamonds hang on trees

She is a dream invisible

A whisper on the breeze
