Awaiting

You know it's been so long since your depart,
It hurts so much to know that you're not here,
And I need you here with me to keep me from falling apart,
But you're not here and it feels as though I am about to disappear,
For pain is overwhelming my aching heart,
And I'm trying so hard to preserve yet another year,
But it’s just hard when I don’t even know where to start,
And six more months is what I keeping telling myself until you reappear,
But it feels so long that I don’t know if it will tear me apart,
And six more months until I shed my last tear,
