Awaiting the Spring

The greenest patch that’s ever been Lies hidden beneath the fallen snow Tucked away from the tiny wren Who has nowhere to go. Come out of your hiding place. The rain will water your green grace. Your color hints that spring is here I beg you please to reappear. The grandeur of your lovely field Has been too long concealed.
