An Awaiting War
A table prepared
A meal for two
A King and His guest
He pours the red wine
The guest indulges
Laughing out loud
Not seeing his King
Not seeing His frown
Infanticide; death
Reigns in His Earth:
Abortion; it's a
Silent massacre
The King reaches for
His cup -- His Bride
Shaking in anger
The cup overflows
A holy uprising
An awaiting war
The Bride of Christ
His "cup of trembling."
