Awake and Empty

I’m awake but empty

New Day and still same me

I gather strength to rise from my bed to approach the same events as the last day

These days are the same

The start with awakening and the weight of emptiness in my body

I feel nothing when I breathe

This empty hollowness in my body is suffocating me from reality

Do I belong here?

Again I am awake but empty

I try to find my purpose

The reason I wake everyday

If I am empty how could there be a purpose?

I lay awake and wonder why I am empty

The world is contradicting and conflicting

However I still find the strength to awake even if I am empty

My purpose is to fill the emptiness inside of me

So yes, I am awake

I am alive

And as of now I am empty

That emptiness will be filled.
