Awakening

Awakening

Plaid skirt, polo shirt,

just act like it doesn’t hurt.

Monitor the input, monitor the output,

smile and make it work.

Following rules, “A” student at school,

and above all keep it cool.

Sleeping mask, perfect task,

just make sure that they don’t ask.

Awakening, no more faking,

don’t have to keep the world from breaking.

Say what I mean, wear some nice jeans,

everything is as it seems.

Sometimes I fall, can’t win ‘em all,

not always on the ball.

Just sit back and pray, live for today,

don’t have to filter what I say.

The P.M.

I love literature, and of course enjoy some classic Shakespeare. Poetry interests me, yet is not something that I am well accomplished in...yet. I hope to continue learning about writting poetry and becoming proficient.
