Awakening Soul

Sometimes-

I tremble like the fault lines,

I cry like the downpours,

I yell like a lion,

and

hide in the darkness,

but when

the shaking has ceased,

the storm has calmed,

the lion has left,

and

the darkness meets light,

I follow that light

 and climb to the mountaintops

for that's where

the light shines directly

into my soul

and I

            awaken.
