Aware
Can I just look at you
Just sit here
Watching you be you
I could be yours
And to you
I would be true
Will you know I'm here
Watching, in full view
Not from afar
I'll be here
Should you stumble
All harm to you I would bar
Would you give me license
To draw, to share
The sweet air that you breathe
If you knew
It's an intoxication
Making sighs I would conceive
Should you grant me audience
Would I need to bow
Or bend a knee
Or would you
Look me in the eye
With unmeasured equality
If only I'd the gumption
To realise
There are some truths beknown
That you where aware
Of my being there
And that I would be your own
