Away

Written by: Tais Keels Falling, slipping, going away Always fighting while trying to stay Sometimes screaming, sometimes crying But somehow always drifting away The earth beneath me crumbles I feel the darkness encircle my soul I wander, trip, and stumble I am broken, torn, no longer whole. Falling, slipping, going away Always fighting, trying pleading to stay. Minutes seem like hours, and hours like days Everything has slipped away I have lost my footing I am falling fast, slipping away. Dashed to pieces on the rocks below Into the stream my remains flow.
