Awful Unlawful

Something borrowed, something blue Once betrothed, forever accused I know you, but you know me too One and only, sacred heart Chosen through the ancient art Of survival, but you chose me too And you know me, like the government knows the truth And I know you too, like the devil knows his next move Baby boy's first words and steps Follow after what he knows best And he knows us, better than he probably should Take this life we've made together There's a built in axe we can use to sever The head But you know me, like the Romans knew their dead And I know you too, like our ancestors know regret You know me But not well enough, I'm afraid And I know you too But I don't want to know you today
