Azure
Beating.
Pounding.
The rain comes down harshly.
Our eyes meet
And I,
I wake up.
Clear deep blue, steady as the sea.
They hold me in my place. My feet pinned to the ground.
He blinks, but the spell isn't broken
I am entranced. The world takes on a new glow.
All the wrongs of the past seem to have been made right in this present.
A step is taken.
Hesitantly, we stumble.
This is something precious, something not meant for me.
I look back, Outside the sky is still crying. The world is awash with grey.
I look forward and those eyes…they calm me.
Hesitantly, we stumble.
This is something precious.
