Baby Blue Roses

Roses are red, but I like mine to be baby blue All in my imagination where I can escape from you. I have to go home with you and satisfy your needs as you uplift me into your own sinful nature that seems to degrade me. I am a human being. I'm not a video game where you can just press play and I obey your every need, but if I don't. If I don't obey your every need you stare at me with nothing but death exceeding through your eyes And I.... I can't help but believe that you will kill me. You beat me. You beat me until I can't breathe for a few seconds and as I gasp for air you hover over me and yell as I catch my breath I can only cry, because I am a victim of abuse but all I can mutter out of my bruised mouth is why? Why does your anger take control of your heart and turn the red veins into black ones and your mind turns into mush as the devil takes your body for a ride, I pray to God that he takes the wheel one day and shows you the path to a better way of life. Where my baby blue roses bloom all year and we walk hand in hand, smiling from ear to ear. I need your love, not your pain. I need that affection that you used to give me every. single. day. I miss the sweetness of your voice and your eager to make me smile. I am your girl, your woman, your baby, your love, your happiness, your everything. So why treat me as if I am your slave?
