Baby Ghosts

For the first time

the baby ghosts

are staying up for Halloween

They've brushed their teeth

and combed their hair

They are perfectly neat

They have to find

someone to haunt

who will not die

of fright

They are waiting eagerly

for the coming of the night

So if you're feeling frightened

when something bellows " boo!"

Remember these

are baby ghosts

They will not torture you

If you like trick or treating

and dark Octobers curse

welcome these ghosts  at Halloween

be generous with your purse
