Baby Steps

Thought: Baby Steps

Have you ever watched a parent guide a toddler's steps?

It's whimsical,

I say that geared toward the toddler because their legs just aren't strong enough yet,

You know?..

They trip,

Fall,

Stumble..

And most of the time it is from the toddler wanting/thinking,

"I can do it on my own" or "I have it now.."

Now the parent never actually lets the toddler walk on his/her own,

The baby doesn't exactly SEE the parent,

But the parent is right there..

To pick them up from the mud,

Dust off the rubble,

Wipe their tears

And mend their wounds,

All while giving them the courage and strength to try again..

Then comes his/her smile as they look up at the parent with adoration,

Joy,

And security,

This is just a way for some to picture our walks with God..

Yes,

Even as Christians we will fall into trouble some times but,

We are not cast down totally,

Grab His hand,

Get back up,

And try again
