Baby Steps Become Quakes

Baby,

Little did we know,

Figuring out steps into the world,

Ground hardens after time,

Fears roll off shoulders,

Raindrops of support.

Adulthood,

Daddy told me it would be like this,

Head held high,

Power in my shoulders,

Make me proud.

Alone,

Alone in a world,

Quakes into natural existence plant themselves,

Anxiety was a friend,

Now gone,

Grieving from creaking bones,

Discolored joints and shins,

You are a powerful,

Womanly,

Quake.
