Babying Myself

She is still afraid to kiss. She is still afraid to hug. She is still afraid to touch. She is almost afraid of love. She has never grown on the inside Scarred and forever a child. So I come in and take her place. Guarding her all the while. She still cries at night, Dreaming of that girl's wandering hands. She feels awful and dirty For giving into her commands. She is still unstable and unavailable for you to see I always say mental health issues Are no excuse to act crazy. She is my love and my life. I have to protect her from what may be, Because I am her guardian angel, And she is my baby.
