Back and Forth

My memories go as far back as the age of three.

And as i rewind my childhood comes back,

My youth takes over and im once again me.

I was the sweetest little girl , that didn't give any bit of trouble.

I played, I laughed, I danced, and I singed

Until my age doubled.

My life was split into two and then I became shared.

Back and Forth, South and North,

Here and there.

I didn't understand but i enjoyed what I had.

8 siblings, nieces and nephews and a mom and a dad.

Summers were as free for all and nothing but fun

was demanded.

But every summer became different as everyone's age expanded.

Was raised on Knowledge is Power and

Knowledge is key.

Kept my focus in the books and was in college at eighteen.

One foot in the real world and I have experienced plenty.

But im thankful for everything God has blessed

me with

Because now he has brought me to see twenty-two.
