Back Then

Location

“WHY MOMMY WHY?”

I screamed through my tears

I was little then

About three years

…………………………………….

Mommy didn’t care

She stared wide eyed and silent

As she sat In the chair

…………………………………

Daddy came home right around four

I screamed and ran up the stairs

As he slammed the front door

……………………………………

I was too tired from crying

So I slipped and I fell

Inside I was slowly dying

………………………….....

Mommy and daddy had to get rid of me

We were a poor family

They just didn’t have the money you see

…………………………………

But they didn’t want the trouble of an orphaniage or foster care

They had to get rid of me

Right then and there

……………………………

Daddy grabbed my hand

He flung me fown the stairs

It was like flicking a rubber band

…………………………….

I crashed to the ground

It was dark so I hid

Careful not to make a sound

…………………………….

I heard daddy get the gun

Then mommy cry

This wasn’t going to be fun

……………………………

Daddy found my hiding place

He picked me up

Daddy couldn’t look at my face

…………………………….

I heard mommy shout out a cry

Ad daddy shot the gun

He whispered “goodbye”

………………………..

I guess they all win

I was 3 back then

Now im 10

……………………………
