Back then

Location

Back then I didn't know

Though they always told me

That soon I would grow

And then it would be o'er

Childhood is

Waiting to drive

Dreading school

Wanting to make your own decisions

and eat ice cream for dinner everyday

I never thought there'd be this much stress though

And though I think I made my young self proud

But hey I can drive now

I know more than I anticipated

Driving, politics, and college

It's all quite fun and

But there's a lot more to the world than I thought

I never anticpated the many evils there are

But now that I'm here

I see they were right

A year left, give or take

And then it's on with life

Driving, politics, college

It's all a lot of fun

But now that childhood is close to done

I'm inching closer to the setting sun.
