Bad Apples
If her mother had been a Lady or even a Countess Maybe things would've been different Maybe Snow would've had a mother who cared, Maybe Snow wouldn't have had to go into hiding. Or maybe Snow wouldn't have been poisoned And put into an Enchanted sleep. I guess even bad apples don't fall far from the tree.
Her mother was a farmers daughter who knew exactly How to magic up anything from a disguise to love at first bite, And used that talent to snag the first eligable prince she laid eyes On, firmly locking in her place as queen, by "loving" Their first baby... I guess even bad apples don't fall far from the tree.
As the child grew her mother started to become Jealous. "Grimhilde get back that mop of hair out of your face!" "Grimhilde your face needs to be impeccable for your engagement Ceremony, to this old gullible widow. Just think, you'll be the Fairest woman in that land. Far away from this one..." Turns out bad apples don't fall far from the tree.
If her mother hadn't been so selfish, Or said the words fairest then maybe Grimhilde wouldv'e Learned to love Snow White and Snows father..... Maybe Snow White's father would still be alive..... If only bad apples fell far from the tree....
