Bad Bitch

You call yourself a bad bitch

But do you know what bitch really means?

You use it as if you’re calling yourself a queen

See if you really knew what it meant

I think you would see yourself differently

You see “bitch” is used derogatively

But still you use it positively

And you wonder why you get treated negatively

The reason is

You put yourself down first

When you called yourself a “bitch”

You opened the door for hurt

And pain

Now nothing’s the same

And now you can’t even remember your name

“Bitch” has been ingrained

In your brain

And now there’s no running from it

“Bitch” that’s what they call you

“Bitch” that’s who you are

And now you can’t even dream of reaching for the stars

Because that name has pulled you down

You don’t even know who you are now

Well I’m here to tell you

That the bad bitch they call you isn’t you

You’re a queen

With more important things to do

“Bitch” is not on your birth certificate

So I think it’s time that they forget it

And learn your real name

It’s time for things to change

Because you’re done with these childish games
