You tell a funny joke on a late night talk show
So I watch your Netflix comedy special and it is not as funny as I had hoped
Like a hit pop song, I find that this joke was just a one-hit wonder
You’re not funny like the comedians of the past and this act, no one will remember
Some of you parlay your comedic success into a hit movie
You’re the it-girl comedian and your film people really want to see
But your next movie is a bomb and your act is starting to get on everybody’s nerves
They realize you really weren’t all that funny and you really were just a jerk
Bad Comedians, still trying to get a cheap laugh
Bad Comedians, overstaying their welcome, only relevant in the past
Bad Comedians, it’s mind boggling that some of you are still around
Bad Comedians, you’re best years are behind you, you washed up clown
You take to the streets approaching unsuspecting people in hopes they will recognize you
But you are much older now and people don’t remember what you do
You approach people that want to be left alone and you’re the only one in on the joke
People comment online for you to give it up and that you’re career was always one note
You charge an arm and a leg for your show based on the success you had in the past
The status quo still thinks that you are funny when you really are an old cantankerous ass
If fans see you on the street, your elitist self looks at them with such contempt
If they don’t say something funny or clever to you, the conversation comes to an abrupt end
Bad Comedians, still trying to get a cheap laugh
Bad Comedians, overstaying their welcome, only relevant in the past
Bad Comedians, it’s mind boggling that some of you are still around
Bad Comedians, your best years are behind you, you’re just a washed up clown
Your act was funny in the beginning but now it’s starting to get on our nerves
So you try different avenues for your talents but you still come across as the same jerk
You have to realize that you have a shelf life and your expiration date has expired
You are still front and center where in reality you should have been long retired
Bad Comedians, still trying to get a cheap laugh
Bad Comedians, overstaying their welcome, only relevant in the past
Bad Comedians, it’s mind boggling to me that some of you are still around
Bad Comedians, your best years are behind you, you’re just a washed up clown
