common ground,

sticking around

when grass could be greener

or she could be leaner

About devotion

savoring the emotion

and sideways glances 

because you don't know the chances

of seeing her again

or even then

so you muddle through

It isn't easy, and she's not always kind,

maybe jealous or greedy or wasting your time

but that's not really love; it's humanity
