Bad Selfie Day

Who's that in the mirror?

With three candles lit beside her

Making children scream in terror

Perhaps adults know better

However, no one knows but her

The lady covered in red

The lady's eyes filled with dread

The lady's hair looking like she came out bed

Why is everyone scared of Mary?

No, her name is tainted with blood

Bloody Mary,Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary

Maybe its the name?

Or that hers looks are gruesome?

Yet, no one knows why she looks in despair

If only people realized

Just waiting a second longer

Not running out the bathroom

Screaming at the top of their lungs

The vision many see

Does not tell the truth

Perhaps staying a little longer

To see that the myth has it all wrong

People see Mary in the 21st century, not an earlier century

Mary is not covered in blood

She forgot to take off last night's makeup

Her hair was not burshed yet

She looks in despair only towards herself

With a sad realization

It was bad day to take a selflie
