Bad Symphony

Another day it happens again -a

Another argument again -a

What is it about this time? -b

When will this living hell end? -c

It’s a stain -d

On our hearts-e

 a forever crime -f

Oh, how I wish to be normal -a

Oh, how I wish I could go back in time, but I am only mortal -a

Oh, how it hurts -b

Staying alert -b

But wanting sleep -c

When all goes quiet, I close my eyes -d

The car goes -e

There are no more blues -f

The car vrooms

I sit there in the dark -g

Hoping they come back -h

Hearing the dog bark as they leave -i

Oh, how I wish this family was like a bug under the rug -a

All happy and warm -b

Before a terrible storm -b

Two people who are as violent as a swarm -b

Filled with hatred -c

Now feeling the need to be uncreated -c

But in the depth of darkness -a

A glint of youthful hope said “Hey” -b

The creak of her door fills the silence -c

Followed by a warm embrace of emotions -d

Safe at last -e

Together always – I hope -f

Till the next day dawns -g

Oh what a bad Symphony -H
