Bailey

My Dearest Bailey,

This is the first letter I've written since that chilly December day.

After all, letters will always be our thing.

I think this is a good way to tell you what I needed to say.

You would have made a magnificent king

whether of a kingdom or of a heart.

No one wakes me up at three a.m. to tell my I'm gorgeous.

Bailey, I am in a spiral starting to fall apart.

You were the best type of obnoxious.

I hope that the afterlife is treating you well.

I'm listening now. I listen when someone speaks.

I look for what they may actually be trying to tell.

It has been so many weeks.

I never realized that all you ever said was really true.

Damn Bailey, I never got to say that I love you.

Your Dearest
