Bait

Alone in the dark I was in the street It was oddly eerie When usually it’s neat The street was so empty Nothing else breathing round The street was so quiet Without one sound He came out of nowhere So quietly I didn’t notice him Until he bit me Out he came and Without a care He bit my neck That was left bare I started to itch My neck turned red I was the sacrifice For him to be fed The air was muggy, Sticky, and warm This only helped The bump to form Summer always Seems so great Until you become A mosquito’s bait
