A Baker’s Journey

Smooth, wood shelf, open and close

Silver, shiny curves, empty dome

White powder, packs and flies

Pure crystals, numerous and fine

Pale yellow, takes a new form

Flowing liquid, slowly pour

Heat encased, dimly lit

Rising slowly, subtle pit

Out to air, vapors drift

Ice and slice, wrist shifts

Observe layers, crumbs, slope

Wanting lips, open and close
