Balance

Light and Dark touch the sky My wings seem to come alive White and luminous, they shine so bright Beautiful and majestic Strong and sturdy I am the angel of light Dark and mysterious Evil and mean Wings as dark as night Eyes as black as coal I am the angel of the night The scene changes as I look on I see their hearts she glows with love and happiness She shows only what I fear Her heart is harden Blackened by hate and rejection They stand side by side As I look on I realize I’m not looking into a different world I’m looking at me They look at me and speak “Which one will it be?” I write to keep the balance within me My nights become me I feel as if I'm drowning But with my pen and paper I write to keep my thoughts I write to keep my demons away With my pen and paper My voice seems to be better heard I know that i will be judged for what i say But i rather be judged than one who just fades away I speak with my pen While you look ahead With my pen and paper I am not scared I have no fears Just inspiration I write to free my soul From its bonds i have let the world put on it It speaks with a purpose Honorable and strong But it speaks as if it was at a funeral Heartbroken and torn I write to keep the balance within me I write to be happy With my pen and paper I am strong I am alive I am free
