Balance

Timid smiles, rosy cheeks, lip trembling and shortness of breath.

Butterflies linger within my skin as I take my first step forward.

Caught myself as I drown in an ocean of doubt.

Am I enough?Enough for what?

Silence taken as a sign of weakness.

SPEAK.

Lips parted as I search within my mind as I attempt to express who I want to become.

Training wheels stripped away and put aside.

Balancing on the tightrope of life that separates the present from the past.

Eyes forward for it is forbidden to look back.

Be patient with every step you take, for balance is required in order to stay sane.

It is time,break the chain.

GROWTH.

Decisions to make and obstacles to overtake.

Walk,sprint,run,fall,repeat.

Who claims that those who have fallen aren’t able to rise up

Self love and confidence set on high, voice never outspoken.

NO MORE.

Time to grow out of your shell and take flight.

Every flap spreading a concurring message of peace, strength and positivity.

No room for fear or defeat in this soul that I claim as my own.

Let yourself be known,oh how much you’ve grown.
