Balancing Act
Balance, it will forever be my favorite enemy and biggest priority.
I want what they have, like puzzle serenity.
one piece doubt, one faith.
one part light and the other shadow.
might be a dash of innocence and a pinch of ignorance.
But the balancing act will move on without me, leave the locks but take the key.
Find a piece that is a little smoother, more room to maneuver.
Because my pieces always change, they are rough and they are raw.
somtimes sweet and bright, mostlty wrong rather than right.
you can count on me to slip,I will fall into my pain.
And soon you will see that I am never the same.
my colors change with the wind and my tides with the seasons.
you gave me too many reasons, simple moonlit paths. take a ride.
But I promise to never hide, I will never run from the balancing act.
that would be no fun, I will trace a peach tree on the inside of my eyelids while i wait.
I promise to never hate you for falling into me,
I will dry the tears and say something clever. Build a new nest.
We are pieces of puzzle. Trapeze swingers, flying high above the rest.
