Bald and Brave

To lose my hair

before I was five

was really unfair

and didn't help me thrive.

Every doctor seemed stumped

and had no fix.

I didn't feel very pumped

to be bald before age six.

School was not as much fun

in the middle grades.

Bullies made me run

and I had fear in spades.

By high school I began to shave

and went from fearful and sad

to bald and brave.
