Ballad

Empty inside is how I feel

Feelings felt, were unreal

Why couldn’t you let go and just love

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

Those eyes have cried and my heart has grown two degrees colder

In the light of the day you slipped away

Now I’m lost (I’m so lost)

I counted the days, weeks, and now months

Time is moving so fast I still feel haunted

Something in me keeps reliving the past

And to be honest I thought we would’ve made it last

But every time I think of you I get speechless

I wanted to get close to you

But you said you didn’t need this

I’m moving on (I’m not moving on)

You tried me, I tried you

I wanted it to work you wanted us in two

Out here in the cold or am I in my heart

It doesn’t matter, we’re still apart

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder

Those eyes have cried and my heart has grown colder

In the light of the day you slipped away

Now I’m lost (I’m so lost)
