Ballad of Jack

Darkness fills the black of night,
seeking out his ugly delight.
There's no safety from Jack's angry tirade,
oh what a gruesome escapade!

Torment, torture, screams!
Don't close your eyes; nightmarish dreams.
He's looking down on Whitechapel,
bloodthirsty is that cold, steel scalpel

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide,
Ripper's mission: HOMICIDE.
Destroying what is deep inside,
always feeling justified.

Stalking prey in the dead of night.
Gone before dawn's first light.
Face unknown, but the motive is clear.
Insufferable pain and blinding fear.

It's hard to battle what you can't see.
No trace left, it's a mystery.
Scotland Yard left in agony,
unable to discover the true identity.

Jack the Ripper will forever be,
the unknown butcher of history.
