The Ballad of a Lonely Heart

I've walked many miles

lonesome, tired, afraid.

With no end in sight

I fell to my knees, and I prayed,

"Give strength to this weary soul

Who knows not the warm rays of friendship."

The answer I recieved was envigorating,

I lifted my hands in worship.

Now I live without agony or pain,

My friends always by my side.

Where there there was once fear

My joy forces it to hide.

I have walked many miles since,

loved, envigorated, unafraid.
