Ballad Of The Maiden 6

It was not so It could not be, it never could last Foolish was the girl To this she could love or be loved The knight and the girl was not to be He rode on seeking another All that is left is the heart of the maiden Cold and dark She sees now that it is not possible For love is not in her future Woe to those who fall for the woman that can give nothing Woe to the man who loves But cannot be love
