Ballad of Meh...

He had loved her
without fail
Caught in a lure,
he was pale
-
For his true love’s
fiancee
waited above
to make way
-
Chorus:
Fight for love
Fight to live
He chose to shove
not forgive
-
Blow after blow
they attacked
Giving a show,
leaving tact
-
Onward it went,
strike for strike,
neither to relent,
both warlike
-
Chorus
-
His love’s engaged
was impaled
A small war raged
he had failed
-
There was nothing
to be said
With a last ring,
he fell- dead
