The Ballad of Misperception

Mesmerizing eyes

Overflowing with hypnotic forces

They take over me

Plunging my heart and soul into a depth that raises me high

What an oxymoron

This entire fiasco is an oxymoron

It can’t happen

The laws of human behavior strongly disagree

There’s a fork in the road here

An obstacle that needs to be assessed

There’s a fork in your heart

Some feelings you seem to possess

They contradict what you’re feeling

They’re pinching your morality access

And before I can constitute my own position in this race

You’re the one who has to decide whether to stay or regress

My mind is constantly in a battle

Between what is right and what is wrong

But you seem to be content with yourself

As if this is where you belong

Let me tell you something right now

Before this takes too long

I’m enjoying the experience for the most part

But my heart and common sense can’t forever play Ping-Pong

Admiration

Sensation

Creation

Frustration

Agitation

Is this all just your form of a vacation?

Or am I a permanent fixation?

Please address the situation

I can’t afford the devastation

For much longer
