At the Ballet

The beautiful chiffon flowing, Children are mulling, Changing the choreography last second Hoping not to get caught. Tiny dancers trying to tame their nerves Tying their pointe shoes tight Going over the terrifying jumps in their heads Not wanting to tumble on stage. Amazing acrobatics are about to unfold Armies of gorgeous women flood the stage The audience in awe Of the airels and attitudes ensuing. Flying high Floating above the ground Fighting gravity to avoid crashing Feather light on their feet. Turning and turning on their toes Tumbling is not an option Trying to maintain composure A good turn out and smile is everything. The end is near Eager to rest and put their feet at ease Hungry for more Striving for nothing less than excellence.
