A Ballet of Seconds

Seconds pass by every day, An unavoidable truth, Reaffirmed in youth, Destined only to fade away. Though refusing to stay, They rarely lack ruth, To forgo the uncouth, And blend into a graceful ballet. Moments of splendor, Harmonies of laughter, Mosaics of miracles, Defeat mortality by surrender, Craft the happily ever after, Rust Death’s trusted stainless shackles.
