Barbaric YAWP

Lisa Zorn I am my own barbaric YAWP No words to describe who I really am Still I will leave the world plenty Bright colored lilies in the garden Furry little mammals in the living room Family to weep at the funeral Hopping up onto all of the park benches Sharing with the world the basics of who I am All the lost loves; dream I’ll never achieve Delving deep in to my subconscious Pulling things from their graves Spewing them from my mouth in inconsistent lines Spending everyday wishing I could love myself Dreaming of a time when I will Hoping that day will come before I die Turning to my books for comfort My writing for release And my drawing for pleasure One day I will know what my YAWP really is But for today, I leave it to my mind to think over
