The Barbershop

The strong

Smell of rubbing alcohol

Dudes talking about sports

The screaming of young children getting haircuts

for the first time

and the buzzing sound of the clippers

like thousands of bees swarming together.

Frizzy, curly, straight, braided, all

the types of hair that would be on the floor

or on your shoes.

The crunch, crunch, crunch, of tacos being devoured

by the barbers.

And the part I love most

Looking at my fresh new cut.

There are places out there that people enjoy going to and for me this is one of those places.

For you it may be different or maybe you don't have one, but everyone does, you just got to look.
