Barbie

I'm no Barbie.
But I Thought I
Should be.

Compared myself
To girls of the Barbie
 standard.

Hurt myself
Thinking all about
'perfection'.

I look in the mirror,
make eye contact
with myself.

Blue-Green eyes
White Blonde hair
Porcelain skin.

I Think,
I'm talented,
An Artist and a Writer.

Shy but brave.
Nice but tough.
Strong.

My own perfection.

So I say,
"Fuck it."
I'm damn cute.
