BAREFOOTED ON THE BEACH

To stand barefoot
on a beach
while a tide,
with its ever cool
and calming water,
touches your feet,
flooding it on its way
up the shore,
and while moving back
to its home
the same tide
dragging the sand
from under your feet,
giving you a feel
of being taken away
into the ocean -
is one of the
most savoury experiences
one can have
in their lives.
