Bargaining With God

My body is my temple.
At least that’s what they tell me.
They tell me my life is a ticking time bomb.
Lies.
I am still fat.
Too fat.

My head is pounding
Like a hammer.
Hold my breath.
73.
Not good enough.
5 more pounds
I promise.

My world is blurry now.
I reach out.
Nothing to grab.
Everything goes black.
That was the day
I bargained with God.
