Barophobia - Fear of Gravity

Fri, 09/13/2019 - 12:45 -- Halah

I wanted to be an astronaut.

Feeling weightless like angels and finally free,

Not bound by or to anything

I kept trying to find ways to float,

Getting high off starvation and ecstasy,

Hoping that nothing would pull me back to Earth

Fascinated by the ocean and free-will,

Always thinking that if “free-will” was real,

That would include not needing to be bound

By chains such as gravity

Angels were lucky, I thought.

Always flying & not needing to walk –

I felt like an elephant

Taking heavy footsteps unintentionally

And hating it.
