Barren Soul

The place where my head is That dark abyss Where death is knocking on my door And the grave calls to me The place where hope seems lost And all the light is gone away I’m just a skeleton of my former self The walking dead A soul trapped in meaningless existence I feel naught for I am no more Is there no hope? God revive me! That is the deepest desire of what’s left of my barren soul He is coming soon, He who raises the dead to life
