Barrier

When we first met i never thought Id feel this way

but i knew from the start there was a barrier guarding my emotions

you chipped at it unknowingly

with such ease

there is still a boulder present but

not as large as the original

I am told that i have made an indent in yours

but at times i still feel as though ive accomplished nothing

i can still sense your impentrable shield

i want to try my hand at love

we know each others fears

so why not give it a try

if we both are worried about the same thing

what better way to avoid its occurance

neither wants to hurt or be hurt

the fact i have been so patient

and still attatched

proves how much you mean to me

you say ive treated you different than others have

but its hard to see

the progress if i dont know

if we will ever be more than this.

I am willing to try.

But are you?

Will i get a chance?

Will you let me try?

That is the million dollar question.

Id pay a million if i had it to find out the answer.
