Bars Set So High

Mistakes never made, lessons never learned

Promises often go unfulfilled, multiple bridges can’t help but get burned

Expectations set extremely high

Young adults who can’t help but arrogantly comply

But deep down they fear they can’t

 

From infancy greatness is expected of us

Pressure upon pressure forms a diamond but I’m afraid I’m just going to coal it here because the pressure is just a bit too much

Stressed by parents for reasons they don’t even know…but yet it’s so simple

When the dust settles people are still perplexed as to why such a great number of spectacular individuals failed to meet a predestined bar of potential
